Comau’s Role in Shaping Future Leaders: Harvard Business School Explores Italian Advanced Automation and Robotics

The recently announced acquisition of Automha fits perfectly into this trajectory, further strengthening Comau’s ability to offer scalable, high-performance solutions and underscoring the company’s commitment to consolidating its roots and operations in Italy.

For the third consecutive year, Comau has welcomed professors and students from Harvard Business School (HBS). Comau's continued participation in the Immersive Field Course—an initiative involving companies considered strategic for understanding global economic transformations—reaffirms its role as a leading Italian technology player with a strong and growing presence in international markets. The recently announced acquisition of Automha fits perfectly into this trajectory, further strengthening Comau's ability to offer scalable, high-performance solutions and underscoring the company's commitment to consolidating its roots and operations in Italy.

The workshop held on January 8, 2026, designed and coordinated by Comau Academy, gave students the opportunity to explore the skills, technologies, and processes driving the evolution of automation and advanced robotics. Throughout the day, participants examined the key trends reshaping the industrial landscape and analyzed how Comau is contributing to this transformation through digital solutions, scalable robotic systems, and next-generation technologies.

The visit included demonstration sessions showcasing Comau's latest solutions in collaborative robotics, intelligent intralogistics, and flexible automation, along with a hands-on programming experience using the e.DO educational robot and the MyCo family of collaborative robots. These solutions are designed for companies that require flexible automation, operate in constrained spaces, and need operating speeds aligned with those of human workers.

"For Comau, collaborating with Harvard Business School is a concrete opportunity to share the value of innovation and demonstrate how technology can serve as a driving force behind progress for the entire industrial and economic ecosystem," said Stefania Ferrero, Comau's Chief Marketing Officer. "Supporting the new generations in understanding the dynamics of advanced automation means helping to shape the leaders who will guide tomorrow's transformations."

"Our visit to Comau offers students a firsthand understanding of how Italian excellence continues to shape the global evolution of automation and robotics," emphasized Dante Roscini, Professor of Management Practice at Harvard Business School. "Engaging directly with a company that is both rooted in Italy's industrial heritage and actively redefining technological frontiers allows future leaders to appreciate the strategic role advanced automation will play in tomorrow's economies."
