KISMEC signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Terra Drone Agri Sdn Bhd to strengthen workforce development and employment opportunities. The partnership focuses on enhancing graduate employability through job placement and recruitment strategies, while also fostering industry collaboration and shared resources.

Kedah, Malaysia 25 March 2025 - Kumpulan Inovasi dan Sumber Manusia untuk Pendidikan (KISMEC) and Terra Drone Agri Sdn Bhd have officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance graduate employability and workforce integration in Malaysia. Signed on 25 February 2025, this partnership aims to equip students with industry-relevant skills, facilitate job placements, and strengthen recruitment efforts in response to the evolving job market.

This collaboration emphasizes the importance of industry-relevant certification in preparing graduates for the workforce. KISMEC's drone pilot certification program equips individuals with the skills necessary for the industry, while Terra Drone Agri, consistently in need of skilled drone pilots, will have access to a pool of qualified candidates. As part of this partnership, KISMEC will be able to refer certified drone pilots to Terra Drone Agri, ensuring a continuous flow of talent aligned with the company's recruitment needs and industry standards. Terra Drone Agri has hired 8 skilled drone pilots referred by KISMEC, who are now actively working within the company.

The signing ceremony was attended by key representatives from both organizations, including Haji Mohd Yusuri Bin Yusof, Executive Director of KISMEC, and Kamal Harmoni Bin Kamal Ariff, Assistant General Manager of KISMEC. Representing Terra Drone Agri Sdn Bhd were Mohd Hafizuddin Shah Bin Abd. Latip, Operational Manager, and Muhamad Firdaus Bin Azman, Region Head. Their commitment to this collaboration underscores a shared goal of empowering graduates with the skills and opportunities needed to thrive in the workforce.

This MoU marks a significant step in strengthening Malaysia's talent pipeline by fostering collaboration between education and industry. Through this initiative, KISMEC and Terra Drone Agri aim to create a more adaptable and competitive workforce, ultimately contributing to the nation's economic growth.

KISMEC, or the Kedah Industrial Skills and Management Development Centre, started in March 1993 to improve the skills and knowledge of employees in Malaysia's industrial sector.
