DJI Demonstrates Drone Technology's Potential To Unlock U.S. Job Growth Across Agriculture Industry

DJI Agriculture Pledges to Make Agras Drones More Accessible to the U.S. Market at 2025 Spray Drone End User Conference

DJI, the world leader in civilian drones and creative camera technology, concluded a week at the 2025 Spray Drone End User Conference, hosted by the Alabama Cooperative Extension System and Auburn University. During this event, DJI Agriculture delivered a keynote speech on the opportunities for advancing the American agricultural industry through spray drone technology.

"As DJI Agriculture continues to push the boundaries of precision farming to new heights, we remain committed to the U.S. market and aim to bring new products in as we innovate," said Niki Shen, Head of Marketing for DJI Agriculture. "With each new addition to the DJI Agras line, we aim to increase their payload capacity, improve their performance and application precision, add safety features, and expand their capabilities to treat different crops - at an accessible price point."

Since DJI began building drones for agriculture in 2012, the company's goals have been rooted in a mission to help farmers save water and improve their yields. From the first Agras drone launched in 2015 to the current Agras T50, more than 400,000 agriculture drones have been used to treat more than 300 types of crops in more than 100 countries and regions.

As the industry continues to mature, a new opportunity for economic growth and job creation has emerged. Today, there are more than 400,000 spray drone operators globally, and an even greater network of partners has emerged to train, service, and sell products to these operators. In the United States, DJI's network of partners grew 200% from 2023 to 2024, representing thousands of newly created jobs in the spray drone ecosystem.

DJI Agriculture concluded the conference with a significant change in pricing strategy to make agriculture drones more accessible in the U.S., effective March 26. Interested buyers can contact their local authorized DJI Agriculture dealers for the new pricing for the DJI Agras T50 and T25. Learn more: ag.dji.com
