Forbes Ranks SWIIM in Top 25 Innovative Ag-Tech Companies for a Second Year
SWIIM continues to add to its growing list of marquee clients, and with its partnership with Western Growers Association, it is in a position to help growers of all sizes combat challenges associated with their dwindling water supplies.
SWIIM System is proud to announce today that Forbes Magazine ranked SWIIM as one of the top 25 most innovative ag-tech companies globally of 2018 for a second consecutive year. SWIIM first made the prestigious list in 2017, when Forbes initially announced the ranking as they surveyed the agricultural technology landscape by speaking with experts, venture capitalists and accelerators; then they examined financials and each companys agricultural credentials.
SWIIM continues to add to its growing list of marquee clients, and with its partnership with Western Growers Association, it is in a position to help growers of all sizes combat challenges associated with their dwindling water supplies. SWIIM continues to focus its efforts in California, Arizona and Colorado, with plans for expansion into other western states.
"We are pleased to be recognized and placed on such a prestigious list for a second consecutive year," said Kevin France, SWIIMs CEO. He added, "Our team of experts in agricultural water planning, measurement and accounting are directly responsible for this achievement - they execute their mission each and every day, without fail - protecting our clients water supplies and ensuring that their consumption is always at maximum efficiency by accounting for nearly every drop."
With groundwater regulations looming for many growers throughout California, SWIIMs data has never been more important. The company works with both individual growers and water districts alike, to assure accurate measurement of agricultural water supplies and works with both parties to provide actionable data - without the dreaded "information overload" that oftentimes hinders this process.
SWIIM is able to eliminate confusion common with other on-farm data acquisition platforms. SWIIM looks to protect agricultural water supplies and provides a full service, turn-key solution that produces a very accurate and easy-to-read on-farm water budget.
About SWIIM: Its multi-patented technology was developed over a 5-year period with the help of the USDA and several western land-grant universities. SWIIM maintains a one-of-a-kind, long-term strategic distribution agreement with Western Growers. The technology is currently being deployed throughout the western U.S. to help growers account and manage their agricultural water budgets and protect their water allocations.
