Technology Startup Trym Launches First Cannabis Farm Management Solution at MJBizCon Las Vegas
New software features empower cultivators to make data-driven decisions to reduce costs and improve yields
Tech startup Trym unveiled the first farm management software platform created specifically for cannabis cultivation, today at MJBizCon Las Vegas, the largest cannabis industry event in the world. With this launch, Trym builds upon its existing "internet of things" agricultural sensor offering to provide cannabis cultivators with comprehensive, actionable insights that help optimize farm operations, grow revenue, maintain consistency and increase competitive advantage. This new functionality enables cultivators to track batches from seedling through harvest while also linking to a complete history of environmental conditions, tasks, energy usage and costs.
Jon Hudnall, director of operations at DogHouse and Trym customer said, "Growing quality cannabis takes significant physical and financial investment, and small variations in how the plant is grown can have meaningful impacts on production and profits. With Trym, we're able to track key performance metrics and improve how we run our business."
With Trym's expanded feature set, cannabis cultivators can now:
remotely monitor environmental conditions, equipment data, energy usage and workforce data;
compare cost and yield between batches, rooms and facilities;
easily create, assign and track tasks; and
receive alerts of any changes or malfunctions in real-time.
"By combining data analytics and visualization software with agricultural sensor technology and operational inputs, Trym enables cannabis farmers to identify trends that lead to increased yield and profitability," said Matt Mayberry, co-founder and chief executive officer of Trym. "We're equipping cannabis cultivators with the tools they need to thrive in this rapidly evolving industry."
Visit Trym at MJBizCon, the largest cannabis industry conference in the world, in Las Vegas, Nevada November 14-16, 2018, booth #1401 and take a tour of the software.
