MyEasyFarm Integrates Cool Farm Tool into Its Platform

MyEasyFarm integrates with Cool Farm Tool, a CO₂ emissions calculator by Cool Farm Alliance, to enhance carbon management in agriculture. This tool supports farmers in reducing emissions, bolstered by MyEasyFarm's API connections to external data sources.

MyEasyFarm recently revealed its integration with the Cool Farm Tool, the carbon dioxide emissions calculator of the Cool Farm Alliance, at the Cool Farm Annual Event 2024 held in Amsterdam on April 23-24. As a leader in Regenerative and Low Carbon Agriculture, MyEasyFarm's addition to this tool marks a significant step in its ongoing collaboration within this network.

The Cool Farm Alliance, a not-for-profit consortium comprising over 160 entities, including top agri-food companies, NGOs, educational bodies, farming groups, and agronomists, oversees the development and enhancement of the Cool Farm Tool. Originating from research by the University of Aberdeen and sponsored by Unilever, the tool serves as an essential resource for major global food and beverage producers. It helps farmers identify practices that minimize greenhouse gas emissions and enhance carbon sequestration while also benefiting soil quality, water management, biodiversity, and economic performance.

Since joining the Cool Farm Alliance in 2021, MyEasyFarm has actively engaged in discussions at annual meetings, which solidified its decision to integrate the Cool Farm Tool into its platform. This integration, executed via API connections, allows for the calculation of carbon metrics on the MyEasyFarm platform using data provided by farmers. These metrics can then be consolidated at the level of cooperatives or agro-industrial enterprises to monitor Scope 3 CO₂ emissions reductions and compliance with Regenerative Agriculture standards.

François Thierart, CEO and co-founder of MyEasyFarm, highlighted the integration as a key part of their strategy to offer a comprehensive suite of calculators for CO₂ emission reduction on their open platform, which includes over 20 external data sources and tools like AgroTransfert's SIMEOS AMG and CESBIO's SAFYE CO2. This new capability has already supported several Regenerative Agriculture initiatives from European agro-industrial companies.
