WESTERN AGRICULTURE PROCESSORS ASSOCIATION REBRANDS AS WESTERN TREE NUT ASSOCIATION

Expands Membership to Include Growers

Fresno, CA, March 3, 2025 - The Western Agricultural Processors Association (WAPA) is excited to announce its rebranding to the Western Tree Nut Association (WTNA), effective immediately. This change reflects the organization's commitment to broadening its reach and enhancing advocacy efforts for all stakeholders involved in the tree nut industry, including growers, hullers, and processors of almonds, pecans, pistachios, and walnuts. For over a decade, WAPA has set the standard for representation in legislative and regulatory matters. With the rebranding to WTNA, the association is proud to welcome tree nut growers into its membership, expanding its services and resources to better meet the needs of the entire industry.

Alongside the addition of growers being supported by the Western Tree Nut Association, WTNA is enhancing its advocacy efforts at both state and federal levels, addressing key issues that impact the tree nut community. Their dedicated team will continue to provide robust representation on critical matters such as food safety, air quality, labor regulations, and environmental compliance.
With the expansion of Western Tree Nut Association, members will gain access to exclusive tools, insights, and networking opportunities, enabling them to stay informed and connected within the industry. "The transition to the Western Tree Nut Association signifies a new chapter in our mission to support the tree nut industry," said Roger Isom, President and CEO of WTNA.
