Agricultural Robots Prove Their Worth to Farmers Worldwide
Toulouse, February, 12th 2025 – With over 2,000 visitors from 56 different countries, including nearly 30% farmers, the 9th edition of World FIRA has firmly established itself as the must-attend event for robot and autonomous solutions enthusiasts. Aimed at reshaping the future of agriculture in the midst of transformation, here’s a look back at the event that took place from February 4th to 6th in Auzeville-Tolosane, near Toulouse (France)... under a radiant sun!
Focus on New Robots and Autonomous Solutions Presented at World FIRA
- New Holland T4N Specialized Tractor (Italy): Advanced guidance system developed for New Holland T4 FNV specialized tractors, winner of the 2024 EIMA Technical Innovation Award.
- AgBot 5115.T2 by Agxeed (Netherlands): Presented by its French distributor Sevra, the AgBot performs autonomous tasks while being able to attach tools available on the market.
- Escarda Compact Duo by Escarda Technologies GmbH (Germany): Intelligent laser weeding, using camera sensors and advanced AI models to recognize and classify all plants in the field.
- MULA Vehicle and MULA Harvester by MULA (Spain): Versatile autonomous vehicle that can be equipped with various tools such as sprayers, harvesters, or seeders, and a berry harvester.
- LUXEED Robotics (Netherlands): Autonomous laser weeding powered by AI.
- Slopehelper Grape Picker by Pek Automotive (Slovenia): Robotic grape harvester.
Spotlight on Farmers and Distributors
Several hundred farmers from around the world gathered at World FIRA to explore the advances of this new era in agricultural machinery.
Delegations of farmers from France, Belgium, Portugal, Canada, Brazil, and Ghana demonstrated their interest through concrete automation projects presented to the exhibitors.
As for the distributors, whether directly involved in the exhibition space (Sevra, Vantage, Peillet...) or visiting (Promodis, the Sedima union, and many more), their presence demonstrated strong support for the industry, offering their customers robots available for both purchase and rental.
And the World FIRA Awards 2025 go to…
On Thursday, February 6th at 12:15 PM, six different robots were awarded by experts in four categories:
- "Agricultural Robot of the Year" - Farmers' Choice:
Award for the best robot currently on the market, presented by Future Farming, and selected from the robots featured in the Ag-Robot Buying Guide 2025.
Jury's Award: FarmRobo iMog, versatile electric robot for small farms.
Public's Award: FarmRobo iMog
- "Best Start-up" - Investors' Choice:
Award for the most promising start-up in terms of investment, granted by the World FIRA investor jury.
Winner: 4AG Robotics, mushroom picking robot
- "Most User-Friendly Robot" - Experts' Choice:
Awarded by ENTRAID Médias for its ease of use and seamless integration into farming operations.
Winner: Agbot 5.115 T2 by AgXeed: versatile machine for light soil applications and maintenance.
- "Best World FIRA Robot" - Participants' Choice:
The robots presented at World FIRA that received the most votes via the ballot box from participants, awarded by World FIRA.
