Galileo Wheel Becomes John Deere Financial Merchant to Make Tire Solutions Accessible to Farmers

Airless tire technology, eliminating pivot downtime, is now available through flexible financing as farmers battle rising operational costs and low crop prices.

Caesarea, February 19, 2025 - Galileo Wheel, creator of the breakthrough CupWheel agricultural tire technology, has been approved as a John Deere Financial Merchant, enabling flexible financing for its innovative tires. The financing covers the company's complete line of irrigation pivot, skid steer, and tractor tires - a critical development as the agricultural sector grapples with a 25% decline in net farm income and enters a third consecutive year of losses across major crops.

Through John Deere Financial's ultra-flexible farm credit program, which serves more than 9,000 merchant and dealer locations, farmers can now acquire Galileo's complete agricultural tire line using the same credit they use for other critical inputs, either through certified dealers or directly from the company. All products feature the patented CupWheel technology, which eliminates the risk of flat tires and getting stuck in challenging soil conditions.

"When every hour of downtime directly impacts yield potential, farmers need both innovative solutions and flexible ways to acquire them," said Armin Schon, CEO of Galileo Wheel. "Our customer data shows that on a 150-acre field, CupWheel tire technology delivers a seven-fold return on investment in just one season. For larger farmland prone to rutting, farmers are recovering their investment in as little as two weeks. Our inclusion in John Deere Financial Merchants allows the farmers to purchase the tires any moment when they need them and in a convenient way."

Galileo Wheel is the creator and owner of the patented tire technology featuring a unique concave sidewall design. The flagship IrriCup irrigation tire has a 100% airless structure that combines track-like terrain performance with the durability characteristic of solid tires. Field results demonstrate zero maintenance costs compared to conventional pneumatic tires, complete elimination of pivot system downtime due to stuck equipment, significant reduction in field rutting and soil compaction, and full compatibility with major irrigation systems including Valley, Zimmatic, Reinke and T&L.

The company's SkidCup and AgriCup lines extend the same technology to other critical farm equipment, ensuring continuous operation in conditions where conventional tires often fail. All Galileo tires come pre-assembled for immediate installation and are compatible with major equipment brands including John Deere, New Holland, GEHL, Bobcat, Caterpillar and others.

XLamp® XP-L Photo Red S Line LEDs Set a New Standard in Horticulture Lighting

Designed to deliver exceptional efficiency, unmatched durability and seamless system upgrades, XLamp XP-L Photo Red S Line LEDs are optimized for high-performance applications in greenhouses, vertical farms and other large-scale growing operations. These LEDs achieve an impressive typical Wall-Plug Efficiency (WPE) of 83.5% at 700 mA and 25°C. This efficiency allows horticulture luminaires to deliver the same output with less power consumption, translating into lower operating costs and optimized designs that use up to 35% fewer Photo Red LEDs. Cree LED's XP-L Photo Red LEDs, built with advanced S Line technology, set a new standard in sulfur and corrosion resistance, offering an extended lifespan and reliable performance. These features significantly reduce maintenance costs while providing consistent, high-quality lighting throughout critical growth cycles. Additionally, a consistent platform offers easy integration with a drop-in replacement for existing XP-based luminaires eliminating the need for reengineering due to footprint changes. With the same 3.45 x 3.45 mm XP footprint as the XP-G3 Photo Red S Line LEDs, the XP-L Photo Red ensures a hassle-free upgrade for existing designs.
