Agworld announces expansion into Canada

Due to strong demand from Canadian ag retailers, agronomists and growers, Agworld has decided to expand its presence to the Canadian market.

After recently celebrating its 10 year anniversary, Agworld is excited to now announce their expansion into the Canadian marketplace. Agworld is currently already active in Australia, the United States, New Zealand and South Africa, making Canada the fifth major market where Agworld connects the agricultural industry through its world leading independent data platform.

Agworld CEO Doug Fitch: "Today over 100 million acres is paid for and managed in Agworld, making us the leading independent platform and our clients are recognizing the value we bring by innovation being captured and shared across multiple countries and being brought in to a local context, thus resulting in strong adoption and rapid growth. In the last 12 months we were getting an increasing number of calls from Canadian ag retailers, agronomists and growers, requesting Agworld to expand to Canada as they can see the value that Agworld will offer to their operation. Strong parallels can be drawn between the Canadian agricultural landscape and Agworld's current markets, making expansion into Canada a natural next step for us."

Agworld is currently experiencing rapid growth with over 6,000 active users each month. Over 80% of Australia's agronomists and thousands of growers use Agworld, with adoption levels in New Zealand seeing a sharp rise as well. In the USA, some of the largest agricultural retailers rely on Agworld for structuring their agronomy, planning and agricultural data service delivery to growers; Agworld's client Valley Agronomics won the 2018 ARA Precision Impact Award for their Platinum Precision Subscription, which has Agworld at the heart of it. Wherever Agworld is adopted, collaboration is fostered and improvements are realized.

Agworld VP of Business Development Mike Betts comments: "Most businesses expanding into new countries have to worry about product-market fit and the risks associated with expansion. Every market in agriculture has unique characteristics, and Agworld has and will continue to localize its platform to the needs of Canadian growers, agronomists and advisors. However, the similarities between Canadian agriculture and Agworld's largest established markets in the US and Australia, have allowed for rapid expansion into Canada with the Agworld platform. Demand has pulled us north of the USA, and Canadian growers, advisors and retailers alike are excited for a mature independent data platform to utilize. We look forward to providing Canadian agriculture a solution to enhance their profitability, productivity, workflow, and sustainability into the future."

Agworld VP of Operations LeeAnn Murphy adds: "Agworld's US-based team is already working with some of the first Canadian Agworld adopters and feedback has been great. In the short term, we'll be servicing our Canadian clients from the US, though we expect to have our first team members based in Calgary in early 2020. We are committed to the Canadian market and will ensure that Agworld's industry leading service level will be experienced by our users in Canada, just as it is in every market we operate in."
