HarvestPort Launches Enhanced ‘Deals’ Program to Help Growers Secure Exclusive, Lower Pricing on Key Products

“How it works is that our retailers let us know in real-time what excess inventory is on hand, we agree on reduced pricing in order to move that inventory more quickly, and then our grower network receives these lower prices exclusively,” explains Heidi Burns, HarvestPort’s Head of Revenue.

SAN FRANCISCO — November 11, 2019 — HarvestPort, the agtech company serving as a trusted partner to both farmers and their suppliers, today announced the launch of its enhanced Deals Program, which provides weekly specials on products from HarvestPort's exclusive network of affiliated retailers.

"How it works is that our retailers let us know in real-time what excess inventory is on hand, we agree on reduced pricing in order to move that inventory more quickly, and then our grower network receives these lower prices exclusively," explains Heidi Burns, HarvestPort's Head of Revenue.

Current deals include exclusive pricing on Carbine® 50WG, ChampION++™ Fungicide, Chateau® Herbicide SW, CottonQuik®, ReTain®, and Revus®.

"The Deals program shows the unique position HarvestPort is in to help both sides of the ag supply chain," notes Brian Dawson, co-founder and CEO of HarvestPort. "Based on the relationships with our retailer clients, we know what inventory they need to move and when, and then are able to immediately make reduced pricing on those products available to our growers - pretty much the definition of a ‘win-win.'"

The enhanced Deals program follows on the heels of a September launch of new service levels in its Inputs program, which helps midsize and large growers and land management organizations plan purchases, secure competitive pricing, and navigate product alternatives.
"Deals creates an opportunity for growers with smaller operations to access some of the same kinds of savings that larger-scale growers are seeing by participating in our Inputs program," adds Burns.
