Bally Ribbon Mills Offers Industrial Fabrics Ideal for Farm and Industrial Equipment Composite Bearings and Bushing Liners

Fibers impart abrasion resistant polymer on wear surface between the bearing and rotating shaft

Bally Ribbon Mills (BRM), an industry leader in the design, development, and manufacture of highly specialized engineered woven fabrics, offers unique fabrics from specialty fibers ideal for composite bearings and bushing liners in farm and industrial equipment. BRM's proprietary fabric bearing and bushing liner imparts an abrasion resistant polymer on the wear surface between the bearing and the rotating shaft in small motors, farm equipment, construction equipment, and scissor lifts. They are also a good choice for applications where the bearing is either molded within a polymer housing, must withstand very high stress loads, or is chosen over metallic roller bearings because composite bearings are virtually maintenance-free.

BRM's composite fabric contains two to three inherently different fibers to take advantage of each fiber's unique properties. The proprietary weave construction is designed to provide a maximum bond strength between the liner fabric and the bearing structure, while also providing the abrasion resistant layer at the wear surface.

Photophyll™ Select from CREE LED

Photophyll™ Select from CREE LED

Photophyll Select is a new phosphor-converted LED color with blue and green spectral output tuned for horticulture applications. These LEDs are designed to replace the white LEDs that are common in two-channel white + red horticulture luminaires. By maximizing green content and minimizing red content versus standard lighting LEDs, this LED color enables significant enhancements to luminaire cost and performance. Photophyll Select LEDs are the industry's first LEDs to be entirely binned in horticulture metrics, enabling more straightforward spectrum design without confusing translations or conversions. The spectral output of these LEDs is binned into two metrics, both of which are based on the amount of PPF in standard Blue (400-499 nm), Green (500-599 nm) and Red (600-700 nm) bands. The two spectral metrics are percentage of Red PPF content and the ratio of Green to Blue PPF content.
